Cloud computing has finally established itself in the mobile world. Google now provides a possibility to store and synchronize your stuff using a safe online service. Cloud services provide data processing technology in which software is made available for the user through the Internet service. The users have full access to their data, but should not worry about the infrastructure, operating system and the proper software, with which they work.

Nokia has already tried to apply these clouds in the OVI service, while Apple has created Mobile.me. Now Microsoft and Google both join in the game. Microsoft will introduce a beta version of MyPhone service to synchronize information between a cell phone and a computer very soon.

Users of iPhone, and Windows Mobile devices can synchronize contacts and calendars with GMail and Google. Data will be updated with the help of a wireless push-technology.

So what cell phones do support SyncML. These are Nokia E series, N series, 6120, 6121 6630, 6680 and others with Symbian 2nd edition plus feature pack 2 or higher. Then there are the majority of Sony Ericsson cell phones but you have to check the manual or see your phone’s settings if you can find the right Sync applications.
