Google Mobile Dream to Come True
filed in News & Stuff on Sep.22, 2008
It is expected that the new super cell phone Google Dream will be officially launched tomorrow (23 September 2008). It is a collaboration among Google, T-mobile and HTC. For Taiwan based HTC, known for high-quality smartphones and best-selling HTC 620 qwerty cell phone, this will be a real breakthrough into the worldwide spotlight. For Google it is yet another step towards the cyberworld dominance.
Google’s marketing team has approached the new G-phone launch with a healthy dose of aggressiveness stating that Google Dream will put a fat period on Nokia and Mac iPhone dreams.
Google Phone, known also as T-mobile G1 or HTC Dream is based on a totally new OS called Android. It won’t directly target the 19% of the smartphone market that uses Windows Mobile, Symbian or BlackBerry systems. It’s main target will be the remaining 81% of mobile phones that are advanced technically but still use out-dated software. Eventually, the result might be that Android not only conquers the market of the mobile phones but also damages Windows Mobile and other smartphone software vendors.
The main focal point of Android will be a hassle-free web-browsing, hence the fuss about Google Chrome browser. A version similar to Chrome for PC will be featured on Google Dream qwerty cell phone.
It will have a nice, large touch-screen, like iPhone plus it will be a full qwerty cell phone with a slide-out key-board.
