Free BlackBerry Storm Touch-screen Cell Phone

There is a storm in world finance and there will be a storm in cell phone market. RIM, the troubled maker of the famous BlackBerry Curve qwerty cell phone presented a new touch-screen device called Storm. The presentation in London, held together with partners from Vodafone, concluded what remained a fake secret and is now a secret no more.
The new iPhone Killer (and probably a qwerty cell phone killer wannabe) will come exclusively through Vodafone and Verizon retail. The new BlackBerry Storm will be ready in time for Christmas and will cost nothing. Yeah, it will be free on 18 month contracts.
Vodafone will offer BlackBerry Storm Touch-screen for £35 a month subscription (that’s $70). Compare it with $200 + $65 for an iPhone. As Vodafone owns 45 share in USA based Verizon, you can expect the same free cell phone there. Makes a real iPhone killer this time. Who would wanna dish out extra $200 for things you can get free? BlackBerry Storm will also appeal to business owners who, in times of credit crunch, will go happily with any free offers and will acquire free BlackBerry for their employees.
Some time ago BlackBerry discounted touch-screen as a pretty stupid idea and concentrated on qwerty cell phone development instead. Although touch-screen really is a stupid idea, there are many people who use and will use such kind of cell phones. That’s why RIM returned to it in 2007 and started to develop Storm. In fact, Storm, in a similar way to HTC S740 and Google G1, is a compromise - it will also have a full qwerty keyboard.
It is expected that feature-wise Storm will be ahead of iPhone and popular qwerty cell phone models. A 3.2 Mpix camera and other hi-tech features will make it an enviable competitor.
