Bluetooth Keyboard

Bluetooth Keyboard

If you do some exercises you will find that you can type really fast on your qwerty phone. However, when you are stationery (i.e. you’re not moving), it would be more convenient to use a proper qwerty keyboard. It is actually possible.

You can obtain a folding keyboard for a qwerty phone, which has full-size keys and connects to your phone via Bluetooth. The price tag is quite high - $45 to $100 but then it is a fun device and makes you look like James Bond. This qwerty keyboard will be irreplaceable on train, bus or plane journeys. It will allow you to type on for a long period of time without hurting your thumbs.

There are some universal keyboards that are good for most types of qwerty phone but… There are buts. You have probably heard about ill famed “Freedom Universal” keyboards. I judge the companies by the quality of their customer support. “Freedom Universal” has none. Are you ready to go for it? I am not. Buying an universal keyboard for a qwerty phone means you will need drivers. Check if you will be able to get the drivers before making a buying decision. Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying you should not buy Freedom Universal. If you are OK with drivers, software and self-support, you might find it acceptable.

Quite another story is a native keyboard, for example, a keyboard made by Palm specially for Palm qwerty phones. You don’t have to mess with the drivers and customer support is there should you need it. Bluetooth keyboards feed on two AAA batteries and usually last 2 to 5 months with one battery set.
