Ain’t it just like human? We all need to make tops, compare. praise and deprecate. When it cames to smartphones, it seems that only BlackBerry and iPhone are considered. I should say there are lots of good qwerty cell phone models and touch-screen phones around. Yet, if you want it to be a BlackBerry vs iPhone war, so be it. CIO IT Drilldown has posted the 8 reasons why you should choose BlackBerry Storm over Mac iPhone.

I enjoy reading that kind of stuff because everything Mac related makes me go “Aah, no, not again!” Maintaining my professional qualifications I should state that iPhone is a good device and who cares that I don’t like it? If you like it, go for it. However, if you are hesitating, I shall snatch your hand and drag you to a store where they sell HTC or BlackBerry… LOL!

So, back to the main story. What has CIO found? Here come the 8 reasons for choosing a BlackBerry:

1. BlackBerry is a multitasking champ. It can run several application simultaneously. So can Windows Mobile devices, If I may add.

2. Cut-and-paste function. Imagine if you could cut a bit out of a Word document and paste it into an e-mail message? Bliss! You can with a BlackBerry, you cannot with an iPhone or Windows devices.

3. Touch screen provides tactile feedback. No comments from my side. I think that touch screens are a stupid idea. That’s why this is a Qwerty Cell Phone review site!

4. Storm works as a tethered modem. Hook up your laptop to the web via your phone.

5. Digital camera, video recording. Yap, BlackBerry has a 3.2 Mpix camera, iPhone has only 2.0 Mpix, end of story! No it is not - You can capture video with a BlackBerry (you can with HTC 620 too, by the way) and you cannot do it with an iPhone.

6. Expandable memory - well, CIO, this is not exactly true. Both phones in question has a maximum memory of 16 GB. The good thing about BB is that you can have let’s say 10 interchangeable MicroSD cards where you keep all your MP3 (you can share the MicroSD cards with your friends who have different models of smartphones) and just put in and out the cards one by one. Flexibility it is!

7. Removable battery - I don’t care much about that. Battery time is what counts and you get more talking on an iPhone.

8. Stereo Bluetooth. You are interested in this if you hate the usual wired headphones.

So, as you see, iPhone is not the world’s best smartphone. It just has a good marketing campaign. Thank you CIO for the good points!
